to the thread jacker:D lol.... i would have thought that that was a male also but then the second picture you posted did tell me female the markings look to smeared

I'm starting to see where you're coming from... more rounded body. Lines, not spots on the gill plate, less coloration in the fins, etc?

i used to think everyone was dumb for hatin on the hybrids and all casue i used to think they were sweet but if they breed id probbaly only keep one and feed the rest. i realy dont ike hybrids anymore cause now its hella hard to find one of my favorite fish(trimac) cause they all are ***tastic flowerhorns!!!!!! lol but meybe if both fish looked diffrent like a devil and a jag but jag and dovii would probably look hella a likeand thats the last thing id wanna do to the jag
