shamwow safe for aquarium use?

My girls mom gave me a big orange shamwow and a smaller beige one she said it would help with the aquariums and I do have to constantly clean up small amounts of water. Im curious if there are any chemicals etc in the shamwow that would affect the fish if it were to become submerged by accident in the aquarium.

doesn't seem like a stupid question to me.. but once you wash them, whatever chemicals may leech out will be washed away. i don't have a problem using my shamwows to clean up all my spills.. i actually use whatever towels are handy, and i use the shamwow and the microfiber towels for cleaning the outside of the glass.

Thank you ! much appreciated. And that is a beautiful dog in your avatar. You should look up pics of my new bernese mountain dog he is 9 weeks old now :) I got a corgi and a rescue as well :headbang2
 
My grandma bought me some Shamwows for my tanks, and i have to say they've been great. My only issue with them is that they smell like burnt hair if they sit wet for a while.

They dry fast though if you hang them.

Mine has fallen in a tank before and it was all good. I wouldn't put it in on purpose though. ;)
 
i had a post deleted that had a caricature of the shamwow guy saying something that he really says in the commercial. not really sure WHY it was deleted as it had no curse words in it AND he really says it in the commercial. if nothing else, theyre great for spills during WC and the like
 
This might be a weird question but do these actually work aswell as advertised on tv? There are some funny videos about them on youtube though

I saw that one i didnt think it was inappropiate, just off topic.

you know what they say all work and no play drives the forum users away.
some admins just take there jobs to seriously

the shamwow should be fine to use, provide you didnt use it to clean up some antifreeze out in your garage or something.
 
yea seriously, i guess the internet is serious business.

i'd just give the shamwow a good rinse before you use it and i'd say you're good to go.
