shamwow safe for aquarium use?

we quit using papertowels about a year ago.. so the towel population has multiplied. i thought the shamwows would help, and they seriously are wonderful, but i'm having trouble keeping track of them.. once they get washed they disappear into the great by and by. i hope my son isn't throwing them away..
