Swifty officially hates fireworks , he's upstairs scared to death on my daughters bed :( , any tips on how to keep him calm on wed note guys ? Or should I just act same as normal so he doesn't think the fireworks are worrying me too ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

You could desensitize him to loud noise gradually, go to the vet and get some sedatives or get one of those calming blankets. Some dogs never get over being freaked out by fireworks, just keep him contained and safe

Thanks for the info mike if he's still bad tomorrow I might pop him to my vets see what they say about calming him , I don't really like giving him any type of medication if I can help it because being a shar pei they can react to all sorts of things (they seem to be allergic to everything :()
But on the other hand stress can bring on all sorts of problems too including swollen hocks and the dreaded shar pei fever , that's what worrying me tbh

On bonfire night you might wanna put him in a room that's further inside the house, throw a load of blankets and stuff in there to dampen the sound, and maybe put some sounds he knows on (e.g football) also try and have someone with him to comfort him if needed

Beautiful color on Swifty.

If he's crate trained put him in his crate with a Kong or a chew thing of some sort put it in a quite room, toss slide a blanket over it, maybe play some music or something.
