tyson,

You want Stonehenge and the Great Wall of China in your tanks?

For my next set-up, I am shooting for a single piece of driftwood, maybe two big rocks, overgrowing with Anubia. I think I want something simple.

HarleyK

He'll need a big tank for that. Something that looks like a wisconsin river or stream (biotope) would be good for me.

My dream planted is what is in the works right now. Unfortunately my l. sp. guinea is not doing well, and is losing the survival battle while I was away.

Yup, dream of having either one in my tank.

If stonehenge, maybe i do half a circle.
If great wall, will just do the lenght of my tank.

I am sure it will look great.:headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

now that's beautiful! love to have a planted tank like that... just don't know how and where to begin with.. plenty of people have been telling me all sort of things... got dizzy on what to do.. but sure it a nice set up to have a highly planted tank with good aquascaping...looks very natural!:D

Amano is a great inspiration. He will be one of the fathers of planted aquascaping for years to come.

Howdy,

I agree that Amano is the man  However, I disagree with him calling his tanks "Nature Aquarium". This is nothing like nature. His tanks are like drawings, but if you ever put on SCUBA gear and dive, you will see that nature does not look anything like his tanks. His tanks need extreme maintenance, plant pruning etc. It's more like an English garden than anything found in nature.

Nice tanks, though.

i agree! his work is great but...i'm the type of person who is lazy in pruning left and right.. got no time for that. i just want a simple well planted tank. let and how do they do that on the wood.. having plants and root like figure? amazing...:D
