Hey what is his actual size roughly and what size tank is he in?

he is in roughly 7' x 2,5' x2,5' I have not measured him but I know a member here called malcus has measured Arthur somewhere in the 30cm range.. and that was a while ago.. so just as a guess 12,5-13".. the other indo is aprox 5-6 inches as a comparison..

Do you have decor/hide spots on your tank?

Just wondering as I was told removing hide spots and decor would make a more stable IT.

let them have visible hide spot and some non aggesive biggger fish as tank mate,big gold fish is good for me but some tiger prefere some other's need to try something see which one they like

In my tank I have a few fake plants and a fake stump, one hides in the right corner behind the fake plants were my tank light is the brightest. He is the most stable.
The other hides all day inside the fake stump and is very yellow but has faded bars.

I was thinking of trying the removing hides method as i heard it works very well but most people say not to.

Well I have read that they can reach around 20-24"s in the wild but 12"s is more common in the aquarium... so there are always exceptions.

Indo's max out around 18", and can get that big in the home aquarium.

The only Dat that gets 24" is the Pulcher (wide bar).

which is why I am asking for pics, because I have seen pics of 18" STs now the biggest IT I have seen is ettfettbranamn's 13"...

i always thought that IT got bigger than ST for some reason dont ask me why

yeah 5 18" ITs chasing around a 12" AT lol

now I measured him.. the result 13,4" / 34 cm and this is when he rested against the glass.. so the margin is somewhere between 13 exactly and 13,4 since the glass may add a bit.. but I am quite sure 34cm is correct..

I would like to give Malcus a mentioning for good care and for now letting me have the opportunity to care for Arthur (no connection to king arthur btw) and hopefully one day I can present an 18" fat happy dat for you guys!
