so one time my 12 inch oscar that i forgot to feed for 2 days jumped out of the tank... ate all my parrots food... and then found him the next morning in my parrots water dish... i know iknow it was crazy

When I was about 7 my parents bought me a 10 gallon aquarium. So I set it up and everything a week later I go down to petsmart. I ask for a cool interesting fish for my new 10 gallon. They suggest a baby Oscar, they told me to just do 100% water changes every few weeks. ( I was using bottled water) well the Oscar lived for about a year got to be about 6-7 inches when it jumped. I was feeding hikari pellets and feeder guppies once a month. But now I don't listen to what people at petsmart or any fish store tells me generally.

Didn't you just start fish keeping how'd you loose 30 fish already. Over exaggerating again? I will be feeding my fish in my tank flakes and other pellets the Oscar would pretty much eat all of it but when I pull out the red bag of predator hikari floating pellets which are his favourite. He knows by the bag and then spits out all the food he had and will go crazy for these pellets :) also he follows my finger and can jump for food!

No I've been keeping fish for a couple years now. But I said like 30 it was an exxageration but it says "like 30" meaning a lot. In total I'm gonna guess he killed around 25 fish. Not all nicer fish but mostly minnows. And feeders. And I've lost way more than 30 fish! If that counts having fish and turtles eat them. And snakes. I used to feed minnows to my ribbon snake. But then he died :( the minnows are probably what got me into fish keeping. Cuz I thought they looked so cool! Then I just upgraded fish from there basically and tanks. But I believe I was 8 when I got my first fish. Maybe younger. But it was two goldfish in a bowl that lasted till I was 11 then they died when I was in Greece :( but I've been keeping fish for a couple years now. But more aggressive fish I just recently started keeping.

Ya I have no idea how but my jack dempseys follow my finger everywhere! They are like 2"-3.5" and they follow me and the food bag!

my late oscar loved food so much when I came towards the tank it jumped and blew the glass top off and broke it.

One of my oscars does these completely random sneak attacks towards his tankmates. Hes pretty chill sometimes so as he's swiming or floating along, one of his tankmates thinks everything is all fine and dandy... Then out of nowhere, he'll snap at them. The other fish freak out and then he continues on with his laid back chill self.
