I did contemplate it.... what put me off was the cost of glass which is 2k. Including all other materials , will be 3k

If I get someone to do a pond nicely, its 6k

If I get a 2nd hand fibreglass tank with viewing window, it will be about 1k max including transport

I recently purchased a plytank 210x180/100x100cm. Im just waiting for the guy i bought it from to get his last two rays sold then im picking that one up. Then i have glass laying around collecting dust to build 2x 260x200x70cm and 2x 150x150x70cm

i am at crossroads now.... max 1 year before i need to get it done

always admire you guys for being able to DIY.... just 1 small study table took me $120 and 2 weekends lol... decided i be better off paying $200 for a factory one... lol

always admire you guys for being able to DIY.... just 1 small study table took me $120 and 2 weekends lol... decided i be better off paying $200 for a factory one... lol
Well im not that good of a carpenter but a friend of mine is guilty til prob 50% of all big plytanks here in sweden. So hes coming to help me build. Its couple hours of sweat and tears then some time for curing the silicone on the glass.

that's even better.... having such a friend..... i only have friends that will tell you where to go to pay to get it done :cry:

Well its no rocket science;) ive actually contemplated buying a used fiberglastank with window. 280x100x75cm. Its big but not big enough IMO
