i think its because they need partners, but thats only IMO.marvinbaker;2632773; said:look great liz. do you keep them in full fresh or slightly brackish? i had 2 that i raised to ten inch in full fresh then both died within 2 days of each other which i assumed was cos of the lack of salt.
thanks..sorry to hear that... yes they are in full brackish water..marvinbaker;2632773; said:look great liz. do you keep them in full fresh or slightly brackish? i had 2 that i raised to ten inch in full fresh then both died within 2 days of each other which i assumed was cos of the lack of salt.
their diet is almost anything you put in for them.. i give them cichlid pellets.. and algae wafers..fresh raw fish... etc... and they need brackish water to survive once they start to get about 7-8 inches.. otherwise they get infections..skin diseases.. they start turning black..like their skin is dying etc... but yes i think they do better when they can shoal with another.. or more..HPIZZLE;2632793; said:i think its because they need partners, but thats only IMO.
