glad it's one of the smaller ones, I think I'd freaked if Jaws poped out.:WHOA:

How long does it usually take before the eggs hatch?

This was taken today when we candled the egg.

Dont worry - Jaws gives live birth. You would know if that was happening in your aquarium. :D

lol yeah I did know that about the higher sharks giving live birth but figured I'd use artistic licensing.

Zoo diver you were correct, meet Bandit

thanks
the guy the egg came from said less than a week that's why I candled it, sure wasn't expecting him/her this evening though. The large hermit and the horseshoe crab have been bugging him already, wait till he's bigger they're going to be his lunch.

Super cute. Hope you have the ability to keep him long term. Let us know when he starts to feed. Market shrimp and squid are favorites prep food wise for me when I am dealing with a finicky eater. GL!

Bully Fish - glad you here too :)

Everyone else - Thanks

(Ignore the tacky treasure chest decor it's my 15 year olds tank, last year it was all neon, poor fish)

She would really really like to keep him for life, she went from scared of all sharks (thanks jaws lol) to letting him brush by her hand last night, face booking her friends that her baby was born & texting inbetween classes today to check up on him and the ultiment teen compliment... he's now her cell background.

Going to wait till weekend to try and feed him, or do you think it should be sooner?

Weekend might be a little long - I'd try thursday or friday.
