great thanks for settling that question. Just seemed another tool to make sure the shark gets what it needs. I was hoping we could use it with live food to insure the best diet possible.

I found THAT BOOK on several other aquarium sites listed as suggested reading for information regarding the brown banded bamboo sharks, when I was looking for information on mortality rates.

I'd strongly suggest looking at who is pointing people to that book. Usually they are people who haven't kept sharks alive. Lots on here are very well versed in bamboo shark care. We produced several hundred from my last bamboo breeding program.

Thank you I'm glad that I know now that the info in That Book is not good, before something happen, and I found out later that it was wrong.

water parameters are holding good, going to pick up a small "fully grown" coral cat shark this weekend that already hand feeds. she/he is about 16" nose to tail, A LFS took it in when a customer want to go all coral and tiny fish. Very pretty shark that's a couple years old, the store purchased the egg for the customer to hatch.

So how do you go about getting iodine into their diets? Direct injection into whatever it is that you are feeding them? Or soaking the meat?
