Shark Pond Question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
about 3-4 deep, 8 wide and 20 long.. i used to own a fish shop.. soo the live rock and other things came easier..... i'll try and find some pics

This was about 18 years ago...so not too much info was out there. Wish there was internet back then. Only info i could get was from the local wholesalers.. and they told me the blacktips would grow slower than they actually did. Anyways.... Im happy there is so much info now and days. Im starting up my hobby again. Gonna start with a FW bumble bee grouper in a 600-900 gallon. Will move him into a pond when he's too big for the tank. If you guys have additional info on raising bb groupers, i would love to hear. Thanks

this comment might come a bit late...but .. i had a shark pond before and it contained two black tipped sharks and several bat rays... had loads of fun...and since it was soo large most of the filteration was done naturally... via live rocks and a diatom filter i used weekly. You will need tons of live rock but it will pay off in the end. Had that pond running for over five years... sharks grew too big.... so i had to donate em..:(

so where did you donate the sharks and rays year's ago
