"shark" problems

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont think its a sotted raphel in the first pic looks like some sort of pleco.

iv had luck with thes and barbs, and some cichlids. They also like alot of hiding spots or if not they will b stressed, mine loves and over turned flower pot that i just left about 1" opening for him to get in and out, hes really comfy in it. and they are great jumprs and any tanks left without a lid and they will jump ship.

where are all these fish coming from that i do not have? :ROFL:

There is no such thing as freshwater shark. It's the stupid common names which tend to be misleading.;)

5 other:

'cause you shouldn't keep 'em with neons / cardinals or any fish with red colored fins as the 'sharks' have a tendency to bully/chase such fish. They can live for years even in a 55 gal. so just separate them and keep with robust and active, mid sized, non-red-finned fish. loaches can be a good combo. sevs, cons, ...

good luck !
where did all those come from? :grinno:
i listed what i had :grinno:
but thanx :)

:grinno:
thanks for the reply :)

Yeah they look like rainbow sharks. I only thought they grew to 8" though. they will be fine with other semiaggressive fish. and a 40g tank is enough room for them.

if u dont really care if they die go with the aros tank maybe it will live maybe it wont ull never know. the pond would get to cold probly if it gets cold where u are.

So call them by their scientific names.;) It's not that difficult to pronounce their scientific names.

Your thread rock Midnight.:ROFL::ROFL:
I was always wondering why my friend's pangasus shark did not eat guppies.
