Shark stolen from Tx aquarium

The radio implied the shark survived. How long can a shark survive being wrapped in a blanket? Then after that, being dumped into new water? Crazy.

Also, what is a horn shark that size worth? Maybe $1,000 tops? Aren’t they pretty common in the wild? If you want to steal $1,000 worth of stuff I figure there are WAY easier retail options (of non living things...).

Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm not sure about the prices nowadays but back when I was into sharks horns ranged from two to four hundred dollars depending on the species.

Yeah, originally meant to put this in my other thread, but was beat to it, seems like a lot of work to get something as easy as a hornshark , glad it was gotten back ok

Poor hornshark must have been so stressed :(

That guy should have worked at a shop I bought a horn from a while back;after deciding which shark I wanted O ]pa0hinted down an employee to catch and bag it up for me.The guy was scared to death to grab the thing!

Better than the time we naught a lionfish and the guy grabbed it with his bare hands!

Used to be a good saltwater place in Missouri where they sold some awesome things, subadult nurse sharks (took years to sell), electric skate, Cortez ray, leopard sharks, sharks really aren't the violent creatures some people think they are, I have yet to meet a mean shark
 
I'll bring my metal baseball bat if you'll meet me halfway. ROADTRIP!! gonna bust him outta jail just to beat the sob's head in! :mad:
You havnt met a mean shark yet? Come meet my brother.
And speaking of nurse sharks, have you ever seen a short tail nurse shark for sale?

Haha......guy wanted to go out like Steve Irwin.
I got impatient and told the kid,"will you stop playing around and net the damned thing!" The horn was about fifteen inches,at that size,there was no danger that it would shear off a thumb!

Horn sharks are some of the cutest <3 and I don't think they even can hurt you
