Sharkaquarium prices

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I went there Saturday after a trip to Atlantis. The prices are certainly high, but the selection is unbeleivable. It's a huge place, in Metro New York with a big rent or high taxes if he owns. Imagine his electric bill. He's not some guy with 20 tanks in his basement with 1000's of fry he'd love to get $4 each for. That said, if you have an established tank and need something big, you can go there and pick it out. The pirahna selection blew my mind. Would I pay $500 for 1 or $500 for a ray? Maybe not right now, but if I ever decided too, I would go there.

Has anyone noticed how high the prices are for cichlids on this site? 69.99 for a 6" green terror....:screwy: there shipping better be awfully cheap

the one that is :screwy::screwy::screwy: is you .
1. nobody forces you to buy from them so if you don't like it keep the comments for yourself.
2. did you look at the quality and health of the fish ? ....if you are a chepo buy that inbreed garbage from petco and enjoy it

Most of my fish are coming from SA and I am happy I decided to pay for quality.

I have never, ever had problems with thier customer service, you just have to know what time to call them(late afternoon).

really ?...then why have I notice lately a couple of members here warning people in their signatures about aquascape?...I guess they forgot to call late afternoon :nilly:
I will rather stick with reputable vendors such as shark aquarium, rapps or snook.

Snook and rapps are amazing. I was simply making a statement about the prices. No I'm not asking for 10$ fish... There quality might be outstanding but some of there cichlid prices are extremely high. Like I said the green terror, red devil pairs for over 100.00 but after all this is mfk where attitude is all....

$69.99 for a 7" GT does seem high ... certainly more than I would pay, but it may be that this particular GT is an amazing specimen, don't really know ...

I suppose there are two possible positions: 1) is prices are out-of-line, or 2) his quality is outstanding

details matter ...

knowing and buying from SA, I bet that GT was a wild caught, show specimen....so when you say is too expensive you're comparing against what ?
In a business where vendors and LFS disappear after a couple of years , Shark Aquarium has been around for 20 years...I guess George is doing something right after all...if you guys have a different explanation for this other than outstanding fish quality, rare stock and competitive prices, I would love to hear it
when people will start understanding that you are getting what you paid for, it will be alot less crying and whining on this website.

I didn't have any problems with my order from aquascapeonline. And great customer service when I called

Its very rude and sad to slam a reputable store like this. They have one of the best selection of predatory/oddball fishes in the USA.

If you want cheap prices and fishes, go to Petsmart and buy their one dollar tetras when they are on sale.
