sharks and eels?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
FWIW I've never had an issue with eppies/bamboos and morays. I highly recommend E. pardalis and H. occelatum.

We will be trying a tessalata eel in with our pair of gray banded's once their bigger tank is complete.

I will post back on results.

I did this too (though I believe it was a G. isingteena); I've got an awesome picture around here somewhere but they were great together.

Sweet, thanks for the encouragement, we are really hoping it works out.

Pictures are always nice! :D

This is the only one I could find right now...

Please keep in mind this is a tank I had when I was quite a bit younger... pardon the 'decoration' in the background.

I had the Tessy until he was almost 4 feet long and fat as a display at a shop a worked at; I sold him to another LFS that had a huge display tank. I had the eppie until he was full grown and with 2 females. I needed cash and sold the trio at a huge lost, then the dipsh*t that bought them killed them. At any rate here they are:

:Last Edit: In case you aren't already aware, you should have fine, rounded sugar grain sand sand in any shark tank... the gravel here didn't seem to bother my guy but I wouldn't risk an infection... I recommend a UV sterilizer too.

Crazy, yea thanks for the pics!

Our animals are in a laboratory setting, so they are being kept on fine aragonite, with pvc pipes, and some LR to cover the pipes up with. The gray banded just cant keep herself from re-arranging everything though, so now I pretty much just let her do her thing.

Looking at getting a 16" or so tessy in the near future.
