if you can get a bigger tank you can get a parron shark or if you want to do saltwater you can do a bamboo shark it not that active but it quite active

You could keep some of the small sitting sharks in a tank that size if they are newborns but you will have to upgrade to something much larger to keep for life. There are some agricultural supply places that sell 8 and 9 foot round polly tubs for a few hundred dollars that you could upgrade too pretty cheap. Personally I love cali horn sharks and they seem to be pretty active for sitting sharks and very tolerant of warn temps.

A tank that is 5ft x 3ft x 2ft - is about 225 gallons - not 150 gallons. A 150 gallon is 5ft x 2ft x 2ft.

Still with 150 gallon tank - you will need to eventually upgrade to a larger tank, by the time a benthic shark reachs about 15-16 inches in length. With the 225 gallon tank - you might be able to wait until the shark reachs 18-20 inches.

Also bamboos, eppies & coral catsharks tend to fairly fast growers - often growing 8-12" in their first year. Horn sharks tend to be slower growers - usually growing only about 3-6" in their first year.

So the species you select is definitely going to play a part into how long you can keep it in your tank. Also you will want to get the smallest shark to start with.

For bamboos eppies, and coral catsharks that's usually about 6-8", for horns that is usually about 7-10".

All your saltwater sharks are going to outgrow a 150g tank. If you don't mind trading in after a year or so or have a good home lined up a good shark that starts out at around 7in or so that moves about alot is a smooth hound but you'd only be able to keep it for a year max. 150g tank I'd look to do a couple cortez rays personally with some tangs.

paroons arent sharks either, and they require tanks 500 gallons or more.
