That's a LOT of bio load added all at once. And can I ask about the horn shark (a cold water) species being mix with tropicals?

What's the plan with the wobb when it's an adult?

The Wobb was an accident picture. Thats my Gf's picture and he is not in this tank

The horn was tank raised, and i was told he has been at warmer water temps and they have been brought up that way. Hopefully thats right, the temp is 73. So its just a baby horn shark and a baby bamboo. I dropped the eel from 2lbs a day to 1.2-.75 to make up for the bio load. That way even with more animals, less food is hitting the water. Anything else?

Please let me know if theres anything else, i am only at the basics, and am trying to grab as much as i can.

The future plan for the sharks is to go to my friend that is ready for them :D

I am getting attached already though... I have been looking at designs :D

BTW thanks guys for the nice comments on the ray. I kept saying there was something wrong with him and my mom and GF where like hes fine, hes swimming. AH man it sucks when all your other fish are okay and theres nothing to even find the problem...

Cutting the food is a good start, but the sharks will still produce a LOT of waste for that volume of water.

Got more details on the ray? I'm sure there is a good reason for it not to be alive right now.

Well i asked for advice..... and i based my decisions solely off what i got...

I only have a moray and 2 sharks in one tank.

The stingray and baby bamboo in 90 gallon.

After stingray passed smaller bamboo was moved to 90 gallon.

The stingray's bones where pertruding through its back when i picked it up. The bamboo was also starving as they said he "ate" plankton because they are a reef shark(and they live in the reefs and eat coral food:screwy:). Meaning he hadn't been fed in a month.... I bought them off the fact that i felt bad for them and didn't plan for the bamboo to live at all... the stingray left instead though, and the bamboos stomach wounds are healing great. He is also eating like a pig!!

I had my moray, a bumble bee grouper, 12inch stars puffer, 12inch blue line trigger, clown trigger, and a undulated all in a 210 and maintained perfect water params. I think with a little guidance this could work.

I felt like i extended my thoughts and plans, and they where alright/accepted. ...

Water test results are currently

0a
0trite
5trate
8.3ph

I also removed 150lbs of rock and ruined the back of my tank... thank god you cant see all the scratches..

I also want to add a sand filter. The FB900 to be exact and was wanting some input on that. I hope it will help seed the though of the pond. As well as my DIY refugium, i am going to double the cheato i intended on having. I would like to have some mangroves in there as well.

By removing the live rock, you are removing the bacteria that is keeping the ammoina broken down. I'd put it back in.

As for your other thread, I suggested much smaller sharks... coral cats or marbled cats. Buying unhealthy animals would be the first place I would start. (Oh, rays don't have bones BTW. :D ) Unhealthy animals into a new system is a risky move. New systems or lightly loaded systems need time to grow with slow additions. That way the bacteria colonies that keep your tank cycled will grow with the load.

"Alright ill probably be picking up that horn and maybe a smaller whitespot"

I thought all the shark guys caught this exact line i displayed in the thread. Trust me after how i see you guys care for these sharks, not gaining acceptance from you guys is the last thing i want :(

The rock was lace rock, and hasn't been in there long enough to add to the bio. My filtration is taking care of the tank, bio, and mechanical.

Thats why the stingray went into the 90 gallon QT, and didn't go directly into the 360. I am very aware of the nitrogen cycle and how it works. I also had turbo start on hand when adding the sharks, and i have not had any jumps in my params yet. Everything is in check so far, and all are eating like pigs, but on limited feedings for now.

My system is not that new but not that old yet either. Its matured thats for sure. And as for a light bio load, haha, thats far from the truth. I am keeping a very close eye on params and testing atleast once a day. Trust me i want to take perfect care of these guys.

Never buy a ray if it's "hips" are sticking out, it's as good as dead.

Live and Learn eh? Yes this is exactly what i meant with the back bones sticking out...

the canuck knows what he is doing so lets leave him be.
although zoo driver is right.. from what i know the canuck has a good amount of experience under his belt
i personally like the sharks and knowing him, he will upgrade for them..

As for the Cali rays, the ones that died on me were most likely handled poorly before I recieved them other than the one that got stuck in my suction/drain. They are hardy but if they have been mishandled before you get them or have something internally wrong its not so easy to get them to health again. 2 of the ones I have now had pelvic cartlidge showing and have fattened up nicely
