And we have a larger snow flake ell that hides that has eaten a 5" goby within a few seconds of being in the tank.

You're best bet is getting the nurse out asap. At two years old it will be close to 3 1/2 or 4 ft. As it grows, it's going to be an ammonia bomb for your coral.
Above ground pool would be the cheapest route to go, with a big sand filter sitting next to it.

It's too cold outside for that here. We have the capability a to put in something around 24x7
