  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the second ray looks like a sp motoro peru. yes cross species of rays can breed. your first ray looks very thin judging by the dimple between the eyes.

No worries, leave it.

Yes, rays DO sting each other during mating.

anyone who has a heater in their tank with no gaurd on it is crazy

its like letting a small child play near an open fire

put a gaurd on the heater if you knew how many rays get burnt by heaters its not funny

why take the risk heater gaurds cost £2

I do have the heaters in the tank but they do have gaurds on them. The tank mates are a couple discus and one othe sting ray. I want to post a pic of the other one because Im not shure what kind it is. They are male and Female could they be trying to breed? That was not my intention when I got them but Im not going to complain if they are.

sorry not the best pic this is the male if any one knows what it is let me know

It is very hard to see. Yes rays do sting each other...espically during mating. That woung will heal no problem as long as your water is healthy. I just had a ray get a three inch cut on her outside disc & three weeks later it has almost grown back together completely. As lon as your water is good your rays will live through anything. Dont let your water changes get behind...
