Curious if any one of you have been to this aquarium? And if so what did you think of it.

I personally felt the fish did not have adequate space. I saw 2 GIANT arapaima in a tank with a bunch of other large cats and they really looked crammed in there. Also most of the tanks with rays in them have a ton of decorations in there limiting a lot of space for the rays to move around. I understand in the wild they dont have a completely flat surface either BUT they also have a lot more places to go.

But they had a cool piranha tank with a lot of juvies in a tank so obviously they are breeding also had exodons in the tank with them was very cool

Not big on salt water but they have a "wild reef" section and the tanks were amazing. Also a new jellyfish exhibit that was very cool never seen so many types of jellies.

I have been there a LONG time ago. Don't remember too aweful much. I was hoping to go there sometime next year.

We just went to the Newport aquarium (Cincinnati Ohio) this last weekend, though. The giant saltwater tank that the aquarium was built around was really awesome. The jellyfish exhibit was great as well.

The rest, I didn't think was too great. They had a bunch of little african cichlid tanks, but nothing really for ca/sa cichlids, which was pretty dissapointing.

They also had a lot of tanks mis-labled, which kind of irritated me. Maybe they had just switched up stock in the tanks or something.....But there were definitely fish in certain tanks that were not properly labled. And some people were in there asking what kind of fish such and such was, and I had to answer hahaha

Overall, I don't think I'll be going back to that one any time soon.

they had some very nice fish..... tanks just didnt look very good. On the other hand I went to Ripleys aquarium in TN and it was awesome not much as far as freshwater but the salt water was awesome.

i was just there this past weekend (saturday) and it had been years since id been there. it honestly, kind of felt like a giant fish store... i just couldnt buy anything lol.

me and my ex got a behind the scenes tour of the schedd about 8 years ago. that was a once in a lifetime experience. got to see all of the breeding tanks and filter rooms and even got to go on top of the cylinder tank in the
middle when the diver was going in to clean. was sweet, wish i had a camera with me. also got to hold some baby sturgeon that they had.

GBHammbone, how did you get the behind the scenes tour? something they offer, or did you know someone? just curious, cuz that would be sweet
