Shelf/Rack for multiple tanks-store bought

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
To me honestly.... because i have had so much unsuccessful DIY, i would say just buy the sponge filters! it will be well worth it at the end! and hey, ur in the states, at least u dun have ridiculous pricing and taxes we have here!

Thats what i was thinking, their pretty cheap too when you buy alot. Thanks. Im sure they could have cut the wood for me, ill check the next time I am up there. So stick with the plywood or use the melamine, fiberboard?

cut the plywood. here is a layout so no tanks will really be resting on the plywood, At all!! but still good to have it there.

sorry for the overlap but do you get my layout? You also can rest the framing on the ground and put a 120 on the bottom, 4'x24"x24"

I could fit four 20 Highs on there, like perfectly, lol. Nice pic Bud. I get what your saying they will be on the metal so all of the weight won't be on the boards. I would put a 75 on the bottom for my Oscar. Maybe upgrade later, but 75 would be good.

I will try and get it next week, it was $87 so not that expensive at all. So hopefully next week or so. But thanks everyone, really thanks alot. You all have helped. I will keep you all updated. This project is going to be great!

This kinda looks like the same one that i bought for my garage. Its kinda twisty unless you bolt it together, don't just rely on the interlocking of the shelves. If its possible also connect it to the wall with some brackets so it does not tip over.

Thanks pacudan, I'm going to have to brace it up a bit. Put some bolts in it somehow and screwing it to the wall with a bracket would be a good idea.
