Where's the best place to pick up a bunch of Shells for a small Shell dweller tank? I found cichlidbreeding.com but was wondering where other people are getting theirs from.

Thanks in advance!

Try a crafts store. I use some shells that are brown and white. They come in assorted sizes. I have successfully bred Brevis down to Multi's in these shells. I'll try to find a link...

These are a little expensive, you can find the same shells from other stores for less. This will give you an idea of how they look.

Thank you

I got a bunch of escargot shells when i had shellies. You can also go to your local lfs and get apple snail shells - they are even better, but more money.

The escargot shells can be from a restaurant supply place. Plie then up, and the fish will move them where they want:headbang2

I've used different types of shells, including empty apple snail shells, but also marine shells, although prefer smaller stuff that the cichlids can move around better
