In a Smuckers jar.
Does everyone here that feeds their arowana deshell their market prawns/shrimp? I know that the aro can injure itself with the shell on but thats just the tail and head of the shrimp right? Also doesn't the shells contain some vitamins? I ask this because I have been feeding my aro shelled shrimp but people tell me that i shouldn't because it can kill or injure my fish. Nothing has happened so far but i dont want to chance my aro dieing for just some red and vitamins from the shells.

The shells could contain some chitin? and other things, that is good for color but would be mostly roughiage witch has a laxitive effect and could be good for his gut:) but if you think there would be danger to the fish then dont do it! Personaly I think everything we feed are fishes should be whole and unchanged:headbang2

theres no one in the wild to peel shrimp for fish to eat. they just take the whole thing whole. i think the tail on is safe.
