the loach can addapt to the hard water
ive seen clown loaches in an african set-up with no problems and an awsome look.
it should work, give it afew hidng places though.

hmmm depends on what you wanna go with
there are tanganyikan shell dwellers but there are also malawi shell dwellers
im no african pro though

Will africans get stuck in shells if they go in them?
Actually, ive had a few small ocellatus get stuck in shells with tight spirals.
Wow, must have been a fluke or some neighborly docile africans.................I had 3 clown loaches in with my africans a while back...............lesson learned.............clown loaches = minced meat...............within 2 days they were all murdered!!! Africans are mean as hell (they even kill their own for no apparent reason).............so goofy clown loaches will never go near that tank again!!!!!
