Beautiful, theres a Taiwanese at my local pet store that I was thinking of getting back when I got my Rainbow Boa, but it was being fussy about eating and not very tame.

Stunning Chinese though, good luck with it,
Paul

nice lookin snake!
how much do those go for usually?

I got this one for $65 at a show. Never seen them retail anywhere.

So far, she's been pretty docile, much to my dismay, actually. See, I would like to get into working with cobras, and a few have told me to try messing with an Asian ratsnake to get used to a fast, hyper species. However, I found out later than Chinese beauties are the puppy dogs of the group, so (lol) as cool as she is, I'm not quite getting what I wantd out of her.

Yeah that wont get you ready for a cobra no ratsnake will cobras are REALLY smart, get someone who is into venomous to tutor you a little bit and show you the ropes, teach you handling skills etc. Nice looking snake anyhow :P

Yeah, that definitely is the plan eventually. Someone told me that the ratsnakes of the Ptyias genus get pretty big and mean, though. They're also pretty obscure in the pet trade, too.

get a male northern water snake (Nerodia sipedon) they are nasty and fast!

And many of them (Ptyas) are wild-caughts that end up starving because they need monitor-size lizards for breakfast... I know someone that imported a few of those before... hoping they would eat.

I used too have one, i was Taiwan thow. Very active and very pretty.
