Long story short i had to tear down then set up the tank. You guys know i hate shimming and never trust my work

The tank is perfectly level but im feeling thats because the stand is super sturdy. Under the plywood is vinyl flooring then cement. Which is not level in some areas. I was able to fit shims in the shown pic, lots of gaps.

How much pressure am i using to squeeze the sims in ?

The back of the tank seems fine.

I'm certainly far from an authority on this subject, but I have always been of the belief that one wants to be very level front corner to back corner X so as not to cause any torsion twist. Side to side is not a huge issue, other than your water level could be off. Hopefully others can offer better overall advice. Good luck Frank!

Hello; First you have a stout metal frame which is best in my opinion. You also have plenty of shims which is good.
The shims are a dark color which makes me hope they are the composit type which may hold up better that the wood. Wish I had more experience with them. I have some but have not yet used them much.
Perfectly level is great but hard to get. As already stated being out level corner to corner (diagional) is the one to try to avoid. A little out side to side or front to back likely will not put a twist into the stand or tank.
That stand looks sturdy enough to be ok with even fewer shims than you already have.

Good luck

I don't think I would have done it any differently and not more to add than what's been said.

If all shims are wedged enough, let the cutting begin ;-)

What bothers me or had me questioning this what the tank is perfectly level because of the stand. Even though there were gaps due to the uneven cement.

The tank will settle the stand. If you press shims in hand tight then tap the edge of the shim with the handle is a screw driver or other lightweight object it will save you a ton of time adjusting. Looks like you are good to go if level.

@RD is 100% correct regarding the torsion being the largest risk. Front to back, side to side (avoid three wheel motion LOL) is less of an issue.

As an example, this is one of the tanks on the 1k wall in the garage. It is level yet after the tank settled it still moved a small amount. All good.

I had a similar concern with placing a large sump on the floor so created a false floor and leveled it as well.

Thx man. Wish i had more time to do this better but with family staying over for the hollidays and having 14 decent sized fish waiting this out in a 75 gal i was in a rush.

Tank is level now the process of rehoming some begin. I have 11 still rehomed 3 and another 3 last week. Wondering if i should cut down some more. Its tough everyone has there favirotes plus a couple of the polys are on the rarer side.

I think just keeping the one tank going with be an improvement
