The London bombings can be better compared to the first bombing of the WTC's....It was a different feel...This time, they knocked our friggen buildings down, on OUR turf, at 9:00 am to maximize deaths....It takes booku balls to mess with us in the first place...Sneak attacks, will get you bombed into submission

I agree !!! and on top of that they were trying to take out the most important targets we have.. They successfully hit he WTC and the Pentagon, and were aiming for the White House but FAILED... That's a little more serious that the London Bombing..

Just an outsiders perspective, I'm not being disrespectful so don't take it personally or anything....

The ships motto is "Never forget", but I think maybe it is time to forget, or at least let go of it a little. When I look at the difference between 9/11 and the London Underground bombings and the way the two cities/countries have reacted I see two very different attitudes. London, hardened from years of IRA bombings, cleaned up the mess, caught the guys responsible, and got on with life. In comparison, 7 years later the US is still making a huge song and dance about it. How could this happen to the self-appointed "greatest city in the world", etc etc. Al-Qaeda are certainly getting good mileage out of it. No amount of flag-waving and patriotism is going to bring those people back, or stamp out terrorism, but hey if it makes you feel better about it then by all means keep on with it.

Im sorry but, events like these that shape your generation you will never forget. The "greatest generation" never forgot pearl harbor. I know people think it is better to move on, but it is something that will always define our lives as americans, my dads brother used to work in the TT's and lost alot of good friends, this new ship shows a ressurection from the ashes of the trade centerand its victims, and maybe this brought meaning to the victims loved ones etc

i think if this happened in you country you would be acting differently, me and a friend of mine went down to ground zero to a big worship servicewhen they were still excavating and that was an experience i will never forget, just like the people of NYC will never forget.

This is not a political incident to me... i am just a person who loves their country and loves their neighbor... just a person sitting there watching as lives were snuffed out... for no reason... people like you and i that had familys, friends and fish tanks, pets, new houses, new jobs ..new babys ,... just people going to work... good people .. innocent people .... there isn't much you can do to honor them... all that was left was melted steel ..tons of melted steel.. they made it into a ship... what else can you do with tons of melted steel... to carry safely others who never want to forget ... you can say it nicely ... and what you say still comes out the same... i did not ask for your opinion about the ship ... you gave me your opinion... now i am going to ask you to keep your opinions to yourself when it does not add or benefit anyone... you can feel any way you want... but respect that this is a very sentimental emotional issue to many many people...

Building a ship or bridge or anything from the remains of the World Trade Center is not the issue.
It is an issue of recycling emotions. Not all of those emotions belong to you.
You may be the Mod of this thread. But you don't have the right to censor and silence those who do not agree.

You are way out of line.
I understand that this is an emotional issue for you. But if you can't step back from that and do your job properly, you should also step back from the duties of Moderator.
