I'm receiving an 8" Kelb on friday,and looking for opinions on types of acclimation (Drip Method,Plop n Drop,etc..)

The last two shipped Bass I floated for 20 min,then dripped for 30....one day later-DEAD!! Never knew why:{{ & these were also in the 8"-9" range,so I'm a little worried:nilly:

The water they're coming from has a ph between 6-6.5 (7.2 tap adjusted with Blackwater extract) My ph is between 7.4-7.7,now I have heard that going up in ph does'nt really cause any problems,it's a drop in ph that has an ill effect on the fish-can anybody confirm this?

Thanks to all that respond:}

Personally ph does not matter at all ...The stress of the fish that is what matters drop and plop with pbass for me all the way guys will dissagree for sure ...that fish will be breathing very heavily when you start moving the bag around an be very upset this is when p's are most vunerable could flipp upside down and shut off ...Make every attempt to make the fish as comfortable as you can as quikly as you can .If possable make sure no other SA or CA Cichlids are present at this time to raise the stress level even further like i say they are tough but delicate a very stange combo for sure......Good luck ...Cool.

The spots tell me good potential. Bahia right?

I want to try the plop and drop method next time. Two quick questions though:

Can I use Prime instead of Amquel? And is the plop and drop method safe for small peacock bass? I want to buy 2 or 3 Orinos at 2.5" each.
