Hello everyone, I was hoping some people on here had experience shipping tanks or other fragile, heavy items long distances as I have recently moved to Texas from New England and would like to bring my tanks along. I have a 55, 75, and 180 that currently sit in storage back home, while I am here in Texas. Any idea on the viability of shipping one or some of these tanks? I have done some searching and most people recommend selling the tanks and then buying a new setup, but I wanted to see if there was anyone who has shipped them first.

Thanks in advance,

J

Ive wanted to know this also I was gunna send my dad a few tanks. Maybe a moving company would be best . Other then that I have no idea.

I would sell all 3 to be honest. The shipping charges would be very expensive and it might be cheaper just to buy used tanks in texas. And also i would hate to worry about damages if u did ship them.

Yes, it would be VERY expensive - and this is not a joke, but if you want to sell them, send me a note. I am in northern Mass, and sure would be glad to give those tanks a great place in my nature classroom.

Try calling the larger national moving companies and explain your situation. They might have an upcoming move from NE to Texas and if your patient it shouldn't take too long. I did this with furniture from San Diego and had it brought to Washington State. It was cheap because I was patient. It took about a month to make it happen. I only called 1 company. If you call a couple one is bound to have a truck taking that route. Good luck!

Plain and simple. Uship.com I use it to ship 1/4, 1/3, and half scale rc airplanes. Never had any issues and is a lot cheaper than anything else out there.
