bag buddy?

when u say tie bags together what do u mean, sorry im missing, it. so when u dbl bag tie the openings together? i know some fish u tie then next bag u use, u go on opposite way an tie. so when u need to tie bags together do u just put on all one way. or do dbl one way an dbl another. sorry just trying to grasp it, great tips tho

good question. Mine always come in one bag in a styrofoam shipping box. That way, if the bag were to get a hole in it, at least its in a styrofoam box. I would think more than one bag would be better. I do agree with that. And i always have mine shipped to my local pet store, so they may be taking the other bags off before I get there to make sure they are still alive.
I would ask the same question though, one reply said to tie bag, slip bag over that and tie the other way.. then one said to tie both bag together. That would mean both bags would have to be put on the same way.
I would say tie them both together would be better. so if one get a hole in it it doesnt fold up onto the ray... But Ive never shipped one out. Just had them shipped in....

Use 2 bags with some kind of liner in between such as thick newspaper, pond liner, or even cardboard. That way if a ray sticks the inner bag then the outer will still hold water and air. When I say tie them together that means twist both bags together and tie. That way if the inner gets punctured it will still stay inflated. If you tie the inner then tie the outer separate then the inner bag can deflate. You will end up with a ray in water and no air because all the air will be in the outer bag. I hope I made enough sense.

I agree, and I understand what you mean. Tie both bags together when you are closing them up so the bags become one with a liner in between. I agree with that.
I think the reason USMC asked was in FM's thread, it says
4) Triple bag, reversing each bag (open end to factory sealed end)
So that would not make it were you can tie both bags together when closing them up...
Guess he was asking, as I was to, which is better to do. I would say in my opinion is to tie both bags together when closing them up. as long as you have a liner in between them, you are good to go. But my opinion.. never shipped one before
