I'm fixing to really get into breeding and selling Betta's. What's a good shipping supply list I should have?

  1. Bags (obviously) Where can I get these? I've looked online and can't really find anywhere selling them in the size I would need for Betta's. What size would you recommend for Betta's? Because the bigger the bag the more room it takes up and the more it weighs (due to having to put more water in there to cover them.
  2. Heat packs for winter
  3. cooling packs for summer
  4. foam inserts for the box
  5. some sort of cushioning like packing peanuts or shredded newspaper.
  6. Rubber bands for fish bags. where do I get those
What else would I need? Where can I get this stuff?

You are going to need to invest in an oxygen tank. As to other supplies, I would email some sellers from aquabid.

Oxygen tank..........Oxygen inside the bags will gretaly extend the lifespan capabiltiy of the speciman being delivered...............

I wouldn't use breather bags with bettas. The way breather bags work is you fill it up mostly with water and the bags acts as a membrane for the air to pass through to oxygenate the water. Since bettas are labyrinth fish, they need to be able to surface to breath effectively. As for getting bags for shipping, I would check your local packaging supply companies and see if they can get you some smaller bags and rubber bands. Your going to have to make sure whatever you ship the fish in are well insulated since with the volume of water that your going to send, temps are going to fluctuate greatly with outside temps. Now to the question of O2, I wouldn't really both with it when it comes to bettas, the ratio of O2 in the air is always going to be greater than the O2 in the water and with a water to air ratio of 1:4 you should be good with a week in transit if it ever takes that long. Cold/heat packs are going to be tricky since you will be using them to keep the box cool or warm and you don't want them to come into contact with the water. I would wrap them up in newspaper and tape them to the opposite side of the box away from the water. Keep in mind that the packing and shipping is going to be more pricey than that the betta usually.
Best of luck on your new endeavor:)

like I said I need the 2-300 dollars to do that. maybe when I sell some of my new big ears I'll be able to afford it. with the Betta's though the bags are tiny anyway...

Then I would save up first before becoming a young entrepreneur. Starting a business, no matter how small is extremely tough....word of mouth so important in the beginning, so you want your first customers to be extremely satisifed as to your stock and condition there of upon receipt.

I'm sure you know but before shipping, you will want to put your livestock on a little 3 day fast before shipping.
