My beyond laid back Lapradei unleashed his might and fury last night. Holy Hell! I hear this clammering in my tank just next to my desk. I notice my Lap 7" or so with my 3" Red Fin Wolf Fish in it's jaws... I was able to rescue my Red Wolf, I don't know how he will do, I moved him to a separate space. This Poly barely even eats krill i lower down to him let alone trying to eat something it likely couldn't swallow.

That sux! But you should of put such a small fish will ur lap! Let ur wolf grow more. well the lap is gonna grow too so IDK. Maybe get another bichir that's simalr size with the wolf or vice versa.

Today the 3" Red Wolf pass. Might have been internal injuries. Physically he looks stable. Sux. Lesson Learned. I've never had a Polypterus be so predatory before.

Never really had a predatory poly until I got my endli he emptied my tank of pretty much everything that fit in his mouth, and quite a few corys he couldn't eat but killed anyway. :( sorry for your loss dude.

Red wolfs work well with upper jaw species (minus ornates).

Well, my Lapradei went on a tare last night and ate two loaches. The part of me that would be annoyed by that is quickly overjoyed by the fact that he's kind of bossy. I've had a few un active Poly's over the years. This guy is a real ninja. He doesn't mess with the wood cat, and Irwini that's with him aside from them being 4" and 5.5" now any of the cichlids. Has anyone had a Endi or Lap or even Ornate attack cichlids?

My endli is a bit special and think may have brain damage but will try and bit any fish that swims near him he tried to eat a red tail cats tail who was several inches larger than him.
