The red devil.. 12" at one of our lfs was really nasty you got close to the tank and were wondering if you still had your fingers and they were at your side 2' below the top of the tank LOL

I like the black nasty too but it might get a bit large for a 55gal tops out around 16" typical 55 has a width of 12" so I'd go with the Red Devil

red devil gets my vote. good color, they are fisty, active, have personallity.
Flowerhorns are attractive as well, but to me, and htis is just my point of view*S* so please dont think im knocking the fish cause it is a neat fish, they are just shaped weird, and look akward to me. Pretty, but akward. plus the red has a cooler name, come on, it has the word terror in its name*S* thast gotta count for something
