are you talking about the florecents in the steel housing? if so thats what i use

I use shop lights in mine:

I got two of them from Menards on sale for less that $10 each.

Frickin awesome!! Whats your guy's opinion on bulbs they sell there? i seen a couple of different kinds dont really remember what they were though. Or should i go get bulbs from a LFS?

and do you think it will be okay to rest them on the glass tops.

Currently im running to 18" lights from my 55 that just are not cutting it.

Anyboyd also have any idears of tinting the light? say reeed or bluuue?

Try homedepot i pictup 4 for 8 dollars a peace for your 55 one is good but 2 is better and the regular florecent lihtbulbs is more than enogh

I believe the bulbs you want at HD or what ever are 6500K T-8's

i run the shop lights from HD and use the pant and aquarium bulbs. looks pretty nice and natural to me.
