Told the GF I want a watch for my bday, so she wants me to find one I like. I'm not a jewelry/watch snob, so I don't need (or want) something that costs hundreds/thousands.

So give me some suggestions! Don't really care about name brands as long as it looks good.

Requirements:
- under $250
- metal band
- don't like bright stainless/chrome finish
- has to look "cool" and not plain jane

Browsing on Macy's site I found these that I like. I

Ha! Post up some recommendations! Want something I can wear everyday, to work. Don't know how I'd look with a 3lb blinging watch on my wrist!

those are so lame. get one that is digital. its much easier to read and its more up to date. try and find one with glow in the dark feature.

Fix your computer! That one is $175...

Check out Jomashop.com as that is where I get all of my watches. great selection and AWESOME prices. You dont pay the markup of other sites. Every watch I have gotten comes in original packaging so not a fake watch. I also have registered every one of my watches and 2 have been sent out for repair without issues so they are legit.

That said my favorite watch is the last one I bought and the most muted of all in terms of bling... It is the eco drive watch here: http://www.jomashop.com/citizen-eco-drive-mens-watch-jy0005-50e.html While that is a bit more then your budget it is a top of the line watch. Dont ever need a battery and it sets itself off of the satelite so you are always able to have the correct time.

That's a sweet watch, but yeah a little more than I want to spend. Thanks for the site, they have a ton of watches there, that will keep me busy for a while! Only thing is they don't carry the one I posted above :(

guess all i had to do was unclick that reference locally button. so here they are, i should mention i dress up for work (suit and tie) so my watch collection reflects that. the last one was a going away present for a promotion
