honestly u will be fine even if u just know basic framing or know how to look it up. just a quick reminder to all but most of our homes (in the US not sure how homes are done in other countries), even 2 stories, are framed with 2x4's for the most part.

2X4's in the floor??? The walls maybe.........

its a condo and i have no idea...

next time ur outside, look at the bottom of ur condo where it meats the grass....do u see concrete, or does it look like u can pull a piece of aluminum siding or wood back and crawl under ur condo?

PS, do u own this condo and plan on staying there a while, or are u renting and do u expect to move in a year or two?

i own it and i know its a concrete foundation. lol dont know much about construction. plus i know it will be a pain, but the tank is the biggest that will fit through a conventional 33" wide door :) guess my girlfriend is lucky we dont have double doors!

just to be safe, u may want to get an engineers report to get the thickness of the slab, are there any pipes n ish running under where u wanna put tank, and mix/compression rating for the concrete used, and have him verify that the slab can hold the 4100 lbs of water + tank/stand/substrate/decorations.

not tryin to be a d*ck or anything, i'd jus really hate to hear anything bad happen cause u got a monster tank.

i layed concrete slabs on and off for a summer, they are pretty strong, and i think its spread out enough, but its something i will look into. thanks for the input
