Short-body Flowerhorn feeding- need help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The thing is the small tank is restricting them to grow. What's happening is they arent growing but there inside organs are. They will eventually die from this

Are you making stuff up here? I don't believe the organs will grow, they will be stunted and weaker than a fish that's allowed to swim freely in a large tank, but I don't know about continuing to grow while the body remains small.

Like others said, 32g by itself would be good, but you have way too many fish that are probably outgrowing that tank already. Also like others stated, you should probably be doing a 50% water change weekly. Seems like a lot of fish for a small tank, which means bio load is probably a bit high.

From what I've seen shortbody or bonsais don't typically grow extremely fast.

Great stuff, will follow this routine of changing the water on a weekly basis and will see if i can remove at least 2 or 3 fishes. Any tips for feeding the shortbody or what im feeding it at the moment is fine? Note that at the moment i try to feed it 2 to 3 times daily.
