S: Short-bodied gene
N: Normal-bodied gene

So lets say the N is the dominant gene over S
only those with SS will show signs of short-bodied. NN or NS would yield normal bichirs.

If you try:

(male + female)
NN + NN: 100% NN
NN + NS: 75% NN, 25% SS
NS+NS: 25% NN, 50% NS and 25% SS
NN + SS: 100% NS
SS + SS: 100% SS

So if you are lucky enough to have both short-bodied with SS gene, you can have a short-bodied farm.
Usually its NS+NS or NN+NS for those who tried normal + short-bodied or normal + normal
