But still he could have been kept in a very small tank and got stunted at 3", just because he came into that tank at 3" doesn't mean he was only kept in a small tank for 3 months, could have been much longer.

Sorry was being to blan, he was from a batch at the Lfs he came in from the wholesaler and he and a tiger barb where taken out and place in the show tank ever since. He was not owned to a previouse owner at all he came directly from the whole saler. The only way he could have been stunted if his batch was at the whole saler for a long time but I doubt whole salers do that???
