Put on the to do list Testing for Platyrhincus x Platostomus and Oculatus x Platostomus... Might need to look closer at the Shorts in the shops right now. Not saying it is the case with these fish but is something I do not think we have had on the watch for list. The above shorts have a pattern similar to what we saw with the Wisconsin fish.
yeah thats the problem. And people tend to overestimate size and growth on these forums, which doesn't help. i see it often enough in the bichir forum where people mention or claim such and such, and for the questionable cases, i just take them with a grain of salt since there's never concrete evidence.E_americanus;4103169; said:all that being said, no one was necessarily proving you wrong here, and you don't necessarily have irrefutable evidence that you are exactly right. that's the problem with tracking fishes in the hobby vs research...one can seldom accomplish both.
