Shorty Paroon, Barra and Mbu (Load warning )

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My pH is stable and I have no ammonia, nitrates or nitrites. He usually eats when I feed him. I have had him for over a year and he has always tended to say there except when the lights are off, could it be the lighting? I have a power compact moon glo light on the tank. I just assumed this was normal because he always eats and none of the other fish seem to mind? Thanks for the info I haven't found many people that have parrons to ask any questions.

Does it go out and swim when the lights are off? Try doing that, just regular room lighting.
If it does, then lighting could be the issue. But i tend to doubt thats the cause since you only have moon light.

Yea it does come out more when the lights are off but it still doesn't swim all over the tank like most sharks.

Nice SBKM. I know my paroon is always moving. I'll be damned the day I see him HIDING! Nice fish Wes. That tig is mint! Isn't that the one you got from Ming like years ago?

Thanks TG , that was the small tig that i got from Ming about a year to 2 years ago. its about a foot now, give or take an inch or two.

Jamie - like TG said, Paroons are very active swimmers something is amiss if its at that size and just hiding all day.I know that paroons are more active in a tank if there are several but ive also kept paroons by themselves before and they almost never stop swimming.

Thanks Joel. Any pics of your current setup ?

that mbu is awesome. i is it alone or in ur community tank? that things a beauty.

Tong - the mbu is with a endi and a red tailed gourami. Combo has been working so far.

Jack - thanks bro . its nothing compared to your friends setup.
