:D You're right! It's Stizostedion canadense

Oddball - you definitely know your... fish.
I wouldn't bet on that I say walleye. Also the fish you have as largemouth bass is a spotted bass.

Sauger resemble walleye with the exception of the blotches and having a somewhat trimmer body. I first thought walleye until I remembered a writing I saw on the prevalence of sauger in Missouri.

I'm fairly sure on the Stizostedion canadense.

i love my bass pros tank. It is extremely well taken care of as compared to some of the other major name tanks ive seen.

Our bass pro has gar, a huge blue cat (60+lbs old md state record of 65lbs if im not mistaken, a few smaller cats Blues and channels, black and white crappie, white and yellow perch, walleye (for sure), some recently added carp, a surgeon, many trophy largemouth and smallmouth, some monster bluegills, a few small rocks, and a bowfin.

i could look at this tank for hours. Nice post, i really enjoy these tanks.

Well they look to big to be sauger heres a pic of a walleye with spots similar, Plus I thought Sauger were tipically brown with a much more splotchy color, But each state is different and so are the fish. ;)

You could be right. I will check on my next trip back. Wonder if they will let me dive down there and get a good look at him. :D

It's very simple to tell the difference between a sauger and a walleye. If there is a white tip on the bottom of its tail then its a walleye. If not, its a sauger. Also, saugers don't get quite as long or thick. And yes, hybrids occur very often but if there is any white tip then it at least has some walleye in it. Too bad you couldn't get a pic of the tail haha
