If he has the tank and passes the threshold.
Throw my vote in there!
Fastfreddy17 Fastfreddy17 has been on this forum since 2018 and has already earned a bronze medal making him reputable. His tank has been documented in the thread mentioned by me in which he clearly states the dimensions of his tank, making it approximately 1800 gallons. Several members have already seen that thread. Judging by this, i don't know why you guys are typing "if he qualifies". He most definitely qualifies.
I have talked to a few mods who have confirmed that he indeed does qualify but due to C Chicxulub retirement there is currently no mod to give him the award.

Otherwise, thanks for voting for him.

I don't doubt it. But where do I find the criteria for all the MFK awards?

Oh now i understand the confusion in some of the members.

For future reference, this is the thread for AWARD PROGRAM GUIDE+FAQ

And this is the thread for AWARDS OF MFK 3.1

BOTH OF THESE THREADS WERE POSTED BY C Chicxulub , A FORMER MODERATOR AND MANAGER OF THE WEBSITE.

He certainly passes the criteria for an awards upgrade, as probably do a lot of other members if one wants to delve into the details of each one.

The problem I see now though is that we all know what happened to the awards situation when chicx was absent, absolutely no awards whatsoever were dished out for months and months.

Well he's retired from his duties for good now so who's taking over? .........🤔🤔🤔

Sure! His current big-tank thread is a favourite of mine. But, as Esox suggests, the whole awards system may be circling the drain until MFK's more pressing issue...a replacement for C Chicxulub as head honcho...is addressed. Once that happens, the new guy/gal will have a lot on his/her plate that will likely take precedence for a while at least.

I wonder how many are actually concerned with this stuff. Personally, I don't pay much attention to awards, points, badges, blah blah blah, as I have yet to see how they help my fish or anyone else's. :)
Hell, I wonder if we need all the likes, loves, hates, etc.; in fact, I was about to "like" Esox's post just above mine but I see that I can't do it right now. It's little recurring glitches like that which make me feel that functional problems with the way the forum works...or doesn't work...are far more important and pressing than likes and awards. It's still a regular occurrence for me to try to post something, only to be told that the forum is feeling sickly right now and maybe I should come back later; that's been going on for months now.

And then, of course, there are "profile posts". My namesake clumsy-typing fingers often strike some magical key or key combo that brings a list of those mysterious messages onto my screen. Who are they from? Who are they for? What purpose do they serve? Why do we need or want them? Inquiring computer-illiterate minds want to know! :)

I beg to differ jjohnwm jjohnwm . There are numerous members on this site, some of which are new while others are here since the beginning of MFK. Those who have been on the site for years have enough experience and knowledge to give solid advice to new fellow aquarists. Their messages have been liked by many, creating their reputation for giving good ideas, options, etc. This allows to distinguish between new, inexperienced MFK members(or aquarists) and more experienced, reputable members.

As for the awards, MFK has grown over the past years and a majority of members aren't' True' monster fish keepers (no offense). They usually have small tanks. These awards help true MFKers to get recognized and appreciated, while making it more easy for other MFKers to receive advice about large tanks, monster fish, etc from specific true MFKers. Similarly other awards help distinguish members who have made useful contributions to the website, acheived something new, etc.

Last but not least, the forum has matured over the years and there are a lot of MODs to manage the website. Most of the initial bugs and problems of the website have been fixed, thus i see no other major issues with the website except for the retirement of C Chicxulub .
