None of the lawyers I heard the comments from were talking about the ban, they were talking about the forced sale.

The last time the league controlled a team, they unloaded their only asset remaining. ironically, to the clippers hahaha. Cp3 from the hornets to LA.

You have to wonder how itd all play out if someone appointed by the league is running the show while sterling is a lame duck owner with no say in the franchise

ok , that might hold up, but if your Sterling and the NBA makes you an entirely irrelevant factor in running the organization.. what's the draw...they may make it REALLY against his best interest to continue to hold a big share of the team..

if he insists on holding the team , that's got to be a very likely scenario

Yeah, fastest way to get an owner to agree to the sell is to lower the value of the team, and unloading it's superstars is one way to do it. I'm curious, if the courts uphold his ownership, will call for a vote to removed them from the league. Will the other owners dare take that step? It would certainly crash the value of the team if it isn't in the association anymore.

they won't eliminate the franchise, imo, they(nba) own the rights to the franchise , so that may devalue the league overall...but they may suspend operations until the"troll of Staples" can be coaxed into selling

I'm just surprised that a lot of people thought he was going to just be like Okey dokey - hurrrr ya goooo...she's all yours...lol. But seriously, ya...this should be good. I have an idea of how each side is going to approach the matter, but it should very very interesting to watch.
Yes, it will be interesting... get the popcorn

I dont know how current that is. The clippers and warriors had planned on walking out of their game the day of the announcement if sterling wasnt dealt with in a timely matter. It was mostly the GS players that spoke about it that night. Sounds like were prepared to start organizing strikes but i cant see a real reason to now with sterling banned even if he retains ownership.

Yep, that is why the NBA acted so fast ,the players were poised to walk away from the playoffs....this is the big secret that the "experts" never get around to brining up in legal talk of the case....the players are calling the shots on this one

If they strike they dont collect $$$ BUT maybe threatening them during the playoffs is enough of a scare
