Why are you two taking this all so personally? Not your team, not your league...let this all play out on it's own. In a day, in a month, in a year...we will all see what happens. You all sound like all those different "experts" who kept telling us without a doubt, for sure, 100%, done and done...where that Malaysian flight landed/crashed/etc. and in the end, Well...we know they didn't get it right. Not even close.

Yup, we didnt get it right. Does it make you wrong or just flat out a liar?

He ain't selling, trust me. Besides, his wife owns half. She is not mentioned in this ban. I think people who assume/hope that Donald Sterling will no longer be the owner of the Clippers in the short foreseeable future are going to be sadly disappointed.

Trust you! Hahahahahaha.

"Forced" sale, "provided that a suitable arrangement can be made to satisfy all parties involved," according to SI.
Sale isn't forced, Sterling has agreed to sell if the price and terms are right and he has his wife negotiating the deal.

I am not 100 % sure there won't be more drama, but STERLING got smart...rumor has it that the CLIPPERS may merit a $1.5 BILLION PRICE TAG....but what it tells me in the big picture is STERLING knew he was out as MANAGING partner either way it fell( because of ban) and he wasn't going to miss out on maximizing his profit margin....BTW to everybody who thought 1 guy could hold out against an entire league of (just as powerful) owners , this is a good lesson in how the real rich work , it(wealth &power)is a "club" and 1 guy no matter how wealthy doesn't have an extra "edge",just because he's the biggest jerk in the room(and he probably isn't the biggest jerk)

you can call it anything you like ...it is league mandated...I Think maybe the term you are looking for is "I GUESS YOU GUYS MAY HAVE BEEN RIGHT" C'mon it won't hurt:popcorn:

All I posted was about contract law and curiosity about what would be legally enforceable, particularly in CA, and provided the sale occurs we'll not be finding out.
Mandated by the league? The process that's required by the NBA's constitution in order to force an owner to sell has barely begun and he's currently only selling IF the deal's right. Calling it what it is at this point is an agreeable negotiation to sell. Calling it what you like is a forced sale.

Disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has agreed to allow his wife, Shelly, to negotiate a forced sale of the team, sources with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.

Shelly Sterling and her lawyers have been negotiating with the NBA since her husband was banned for life by commissioner Adam Silver on April 29. While the league has yet to formally accept this arrangement, sources said if she is willing to sell the team in its entirety, this could bring a startlingly quick end to what appeared to be a protracted legal battle.

that's all i'm quoting. none of it has even been approved by the NBA so we're all jumping the gun.

even this quote below is from your own source SI

Disgraced Clippers owner Donald Sterling has reportedly agreed to allow his wife, Shelly, to negotiate a forced sale of the team, according to TMZ and ESPN.com.

Sterling, 80, has owned the Clippers for 33 years, making him the NBA’s longest-tenured owner. On Monday the league filed an official termination charge against Sterling, setting in motion an official vote amongst the league’s owners. That no longer seems to be necessary as Sterling has reportedly accepted the basis of his ousting from the league, provided that a suitable arrangement can be made to satisfy all parties involved.

The biggest remaining question on the matter concerns Shelly Sterling, who previously had pledged to fight to keep her stake in the team. Based on both the language of the NBA’s memo and the consensus in reporting on the subject, we can conclude that the NBA will not likely sign off on any arrangement that allows Shelly Sterling to remain an owner. That she has been empowered by Sterling to carry out the negotiation of the sale of the team is thus an especially pertinent development in the execution of a potential deal.

you can argue all you want about what YOU SAID(to create the illusion you might not be wrong , still) but in a couple of weeks (or thereabouts) you will be 100% correct , if you point out that BOC & MYSELF probably knew what the heck we were talking about all along...to sum it up , it Is a knowledge of SPORTS HISTORY that was found to be the basis of correct prediction of the outcome ,not "CALIFORNIA LAW"( MOSTLY because it can't be applied, against an ownership contract in the NBA)
