His wife owns half the team. She is not part of the ban. If he removes himself then she remains the owner. She is not part of the ban. You don't have to be on the "inside" of anything to see that. Apparently Lee is the "inside guy" since he knows exactly how this is going to pan out. You talking to Comm. Silver? Tell us what you know...what's the word in Phoenix?
hate to see you eat crow ...but he AND HIS family... ARE DONE... THE Nba owns the franchise RIGHTS... and aproval of ownership ...want to place a friendly wager on how this turns out?..I am pretty confident on my FACTS..I heard this morning that FLOYD MAYWEATHER is part of a group trying to buy the team ...

so you think they're going to allow him to hand over the team to the wife who was named in discrimination lawsuits that they collectively settled on? it won't take the owners long to realize she holds similar views and has done similar dirty acts. nevermind that she could die first and he'd end up owning the team again?

Sure, why not. I love a friendly bet. You aren't serious about Floyd Mayweather...I don't think he will meet the NBA's new standards of owner conduct, lol. Have a read...

I am very confident that ANYONE who thinks the sterling family is (or will EVER be)in charge of the CLIPPERS, knows NOTHING about the NBA or it's by-laws and ownership requirements,I K-N-O-W that ownership is BASED ON approval by OTHER OWNERS...

I don't think he was ever found guilty of anything. Besides, if what you say is such a smoking gun, why didn't they remove him back then when they "collectively settled". It wasn't strong enough a case back then, and it won't be in the future. And if she dies, it goes to whomever she deeds it to in her trust...and then the NBA and that person (most likely her daughter and son-in-law) will have to figure out what happens next, ie. selling it, keeping it, etc.

Its like people who know their spouse are cheating but dont do anything until their family finds out or it gets thrown in their face. The tape was the "everyone found out so now i must react" to all allegations. Theyre toast from their history. Not the tape alone

And youre right, they paid out. As good as admitting guilt. Why would a lawyer pay out if they didnt do anything wrong? Not always the case on a settlement but in this case you claim hes stubborn and ruthless. Whyd he pay em?

they don't need to prove anything about anything ,besides the fact that they can and WILL be done with him and any REMINDER of him...once again OWNERSHIP is BASED on APPROVAL of 3/4 OF the nba OWNERS.... the SAME
GUYS that JUST voted 29-0 to REMOVE him

VERY serious about MAYWEATHER... doesn't mean he will be approved , just that HE is part of a group with interest....whatta ya say about LOSER HAS to have a CLIPPER avatar .....FOREVER:popcorn:

LOL, OK. What are the terms...timeline? You said "I K-N-O-W that ownership is BASED ON approval by OTHER OWNERS..."

Therefore, if the collective owners have the votes and Sterling and his wife/family are removed as owners - I LOSE

BUT, if the collective owners don't have the votes OR if they do have the votes BUT this goes to court and into a legal battle - YOU LOSE

Remember, this is based on the premise that the NBA and the NBA owners are the ones in power (as you said) and are the ones who will be removing Donald Sterling and his wife/family as owners of the Clippers and will be the ones approving the new owners. If this goes to court, then your whole argument that the NBA holds all the power and that this is outside the scope of the courts (where I have argued it will end up in)... CRUMBLES.

He paid out because he is racist and a settlement would make it go away. Or rather make the person he didn't want living in his apartment go away. No one is saying he is not racist, jeez. Like I keep saying, everyone knew...I'm arguing from a purely legal standpoint. I think the NBA is going to have a much more difficult time making him forfeit his ownership than many people think. That's all I am trying to say...man! lol
