yup. That's why I posted about getting your 20 set up. Depending on how many more you get the 30 might be better, or could qt the new ones in the 20 then after qt put all of them in the 30 at the same time.

so in your experience the puffers do in fact benefit from being in a group? im just trying to make my one puffer as happy as possible. and do your puffers nip at their tankmates at all or are they too busy with eachother? i was thinking of getting stone catfish as well.

They occasionally chase each other. They don't really even register the other tank mates. I've never seen and damage other then some possible spawning marks on two really fat female bellies. They were not that fat a few days later. No sign of eggs though, I'm guessing they would be eaten by other inhabitants even if there were eggs.

Oh and yes I do think they are better in groups. This is my first larger group and they seem to be working great it's been over a year now.
