Desperation leads to drastic measures that might not be well thought out. I had three super red severums who came in with ich, I was unable to set up a quarantine tank for them so I put them in my large tank, sure enough it spread, instead of salt and heated water I turned to medication. Wiped out my tank. I used less then the recommended dosage too. I lost: 3 super red severums, 2 sailfin plecos, 1 EBJD, 1 giant albino gourami. I think there was more but I don't remember. The two survivors were an avocado puffer and a Geo. Pelligrini. Aside from them everything died within maybe 24 to 30 hours from adding the medication. True Story. Not making it up. I tell people to stay away from medications because of my screw ups. Even at work I messed it up. Always used less then the recommended amount yet it wasn't good enough. Wiped out a tank of Pacu, wiped out a tank of silver dollars, wiped out a tank of Geo. Steindachneri, see where I'm going with this? Stay away from medications if there is a natural way of doing it that doesn't require them. As far as your fish goes. If he's getting better, fantastic. Thats always a good thing.
