Should I be worried?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Any chance in water parameters can cause issues and such as fish refusing to eat.
I will do a water change and keep you posted. Again, its quite common for the fish to be spooked for couple of days right? Behaviors like hiding behind the filter, not following the finger(I haven't trained him yet ofcourse) and so on.

Yes normal for the little FH to be afraid of you. The FH instinctively view you as a predator but eventually it will learn that you mean no harm.

All of the good advice above aside, the sooner you can get that guy in a bigger tank like you say the better -- he's at a fast growth stage now, which also means increasing waste/bio load and more difficulty to keep your water parameters good and stable. Due to weak genetics FH's are more prone to health issues -- the more advantage we give them the less likelihood of problems occurring. Keep us updated and hope his appetite comes around after he's more relaxed.

islandguy11 islandguy11 tlindsey tlindsey kno4te kno4te I guess it was because of parasites or maybe he was just scared and not hungry. Although I did add 'Mr.White' which kills any parasites present in the water. After doing so, I did a complete water change and added dechlorinated water. I guess everything is fine because yesterday night he ate three pallets, and now I fed him 8, he ate all 8 pallets. Just wanted to let you guys know. Thank you :)
